This drawing became an idea in my head after attending an Echo & the Bunnymen concert in the summer of 2006. I made a rough sketch then, and then kept tweaking and revising it, and adding new things... then putting it down for a while and revisiting it every few months. I finally got it to a point where I liked it, and I inked it. Now I am working on the colors. It is a drawing inspired by Will Sergeant, who is the guitarist of Echo & the Bunnymen. The Japanese type along the side literally spells out "Sergeant Fuzz" which is one of Will's nicknames. The bunnygod shadow behind him is one of the logos of the Bunnymen, the fish are there because I like them, but also because Will did a solo album called "Weird as Fish". Once I finish the color version, I will post that in place of the black & white version. Click on the image to see it larger. |
